One Community for Social Justice in the Spirit of Love
Family and familial ties are the bases for the most important aspects of life for African Americans. To achieve social justice, African Americans must unite with universal love and understanding. Drawing comparison to the Asian American community's successful advocacy against anti-Asian hate, the author suggests the goal of social justice as it pertains to African Americans should be equity, defined as being fair and impartial, not equality. Ultimately, the author advocates for love and culture as the foundation of social justice, warning against internal division within the Black community to achieve real, equitable solutions.
